Early in the morning there set off to Moshkovo 8 high-speed cars, owned by different Novosibirsk auto clubs, as well as 3 off-road cars from the "Off Road Master", auto club which have gone off the road hundreds of kilometers in traditional expeditions of the club. On the territory of the Orphan's Home there were organized demonstration car performances which gradually grew into driving the children in beautiful cars. The children and teachers who showed interest had an opportunity to be taken for a drive in any car - from impetuous sports cars to huge monster-like off-road cars. The follow-up concert where a break dancing band and a magician-illusionist took part didn't leave anyone indifferent among the children, teachers and motorists.

As before it took place in the night club 'Alpen Grott' in the centre of Novosibirsk. The guests were offered a report on the use of the money raised during the previous 'Open Heart-3'. Besides there was held a charity auction to sell the art articles made by the inmates of the Moshkovsky Orphan's Home. The proceeds will be spent on buying materials and supporting hand work studios in Moshkovo. On the whole the club managed to raise 40,860 rubles. In the nearest future the money will be handed over to a child who needs treatment.

In cooperation with the auto club 'Speedy Brothers' there was organized a charity Street Challenge motor race 'Alice in Wonderland'. In the action 39 crews took part. Along with the participation in the race the crew members gathered clothes and toys for the inmates of the Orphan's Home. The proceeds from the project totaled about 15,000 rubles. It was decided to organize the New Year celebration for the children. The performances of a magician, dancers and demonstration performance of the motor clubs of the city are planned to take place in Moshkovo on December, 24.

Michael got a serious brain trauma, after which cerebral hemorrhage happened. He was operated on, but unfortunately it didn't bring necessary results. Michael's parents can't afford another operation. The child's mother asked Michael's schoolmates' parents for help, but there were few parents who responded to her call. The club decided to spend the proceeds from the 'Open Heart-3' project on Michael's operation.
On November, 30 2006 in Railway hospital of Novosibirsk Michael was successfully operated on for the second time. He's feeling well and within the next few days will be moved from the reanimation into a hospital ward where he will get post-surgical treatment.

The concert in the boarding school was organized by the Rotary club 'Novosibirsk-Initiative' as the continuation of supporting Muromov musical contest that is regularly held in Novosibirsk State Conservatory. The prizes 'To the youngest contestant' and 'To the teacher who has made the biggest contribution to bringing up younger generation' instituted by the club were presented on November, 10 2006. The singers of the choral jazz 'Siberian Ladies' were honoured with a chance to perform classic for the young listeners in Moshkovo.
The concert was held in the assembly hall of the boarding school where about 100 inmates of different ages had gathered. It's worth mentioning that the children were listening to serious jazz works performed mostly in English with thrill. After the concert there was an excursion for the jazz band round the Orphan's Home with visiting the classrooms and the restrooms as well as the dining-hall. Besides the boy from the Orphan's Home showed real interest in a beautiful car of one of the club members.

In November 2006 our club gathered and sent a full package of the documents for registering a new club in Rotary International. Our documents were examined and it was decided to register our club officially.

Congratulations! The club was admitted on 17 November 2006. It will take a few weeks for the congratulatory letters, the charter, and supplies to go out, especially with the Thanksgiving holiday, but we'll do our best and make this a high priority!

More then 50 people from 6 clubs - "Novosibirsk", "Novosibirsk-Ob", "Novosibirsk-Center", "Novosibirsk-Akademgorodok", "Novosibirsk-Initiative" and also representatives from new "Rotaract-Novosibirsk Club" took part in this event. Guests listened to district 5010 Governor's (Gail Nepper) speech with great interest. She was in our city with official visit. During the grand supper Gail conducted rewarding of distinguished Rotarians and representatives from Rotary clubs presented their activities of recent year. Especially we need to note that wonderful evening was adorned with Chinese tea ceremony and beautiful music performed by young talents. Brilliantly conducted lottery and charity auction didn't leave indifferent nobody from presented Rotarians.

Becoming traditional private party was organized with the purpose of fund raising for child's medical treatment in oncological medical center in Novosibirsk. More then 60 people took part in this interesting event. They had fun in comfortable and festive atmosphere and made a donation to this charity project in total 60 000 rubles.
Besides, during this event it was held a charity auction, in which one of lots was ship's model, that was granted and made by Roma Finashin - a boy, who got medical treatment in oncological center in Munich, Germany, at the expense of previous charity event "Open Heart-2", that was organized in may.

Rotary club "Novosibirsk�Initiative" finished ordinary project of aid to the boarding school in Mashkovo for mentally retarded children. Placing high-quality elements of children�s playground (swing, merry-go-round and slide) for little inmates became possible because of club�s efforts and financial support from "OrphanAct". Elements of playground were delivered and placed on specially prepared ground. Children got another one opportunity for active rest, physical growth and development directly on the territory of educational institution.
Clubs express separately one's thanks to ferroconcrete items factory "Sozidanie", which vested materials, and also to the building company "Evrocity" for help in organization and realization of this project.

The decision to give assistance and help to the Moshkovoskay boarding school was made on July, 27 2006. After visiting the school the club's members mapped out the help strategy with the first suggestion to arrange recreational facilities on the boarding school territory. The order to make four objects for the children's playground in sum total 36000 rubles was placed with the help of the club. Today everything is ready for their assembling and recreational development around the place.

Helen, Roman's mother was provided hotel accommodation not far from the hospital in the city center. Two Rotary Clubs of Munich and Nuremberg undertook to complete the project in Germany.

The grand party was devoted to the beginning of a new rotary year. The main tasks were discussed with the development strategy for 2006-2007 being worked out at the meeting. The new officers took over in the solemn atmosphere. The official part being over, the club's members had plenty of swimming in the Obskoe Sea. There was delicious shashlik and a real abundance of fruit. Due to sunny and hot weather the first championship for water polo was held among the club's members.

The happy parents called him Timur. The baby boy was born strong and vigorous. We are heartily congratulating Mikhail and his wife Helen with this great event.
