30.12.2009 - Cable TV and TV-sets to the Cancer clinic for children.
Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" made a present to the Cancer clinic for children in Krasnoobsk: the house was connected to the system of cable TV. Now there are in the clinic 60 channels in 23 rooms, where children live and receive treatment. Besides, 18 TV-sets and one DVD-player were bought and installed in the clinic. That is why at the moment to it is possible to show cartoons as well as informative and educational programs on all TV-sets of the clinic. The total cost of the project is about 82,000 rubles.
18.12.2009 - Apples for children and for the disabled.
Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" presented 8 boxes of fresh apples from Krasnodar as presents to the New Year to Association of inmates of orphanages (to be more precise, to 14 young mothers with kids under the age of 3) and to the Society of the disabled. Both were happy with such presents.
15.12.2009 - Textbooks to the inmates of Rehabilitation Centre.
Rotaract club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" carried out a charity campaign on collecting textbooks, copybooks, atlases and contoured maps for inmates of Rehabilitation Centre. The outlets for collecting books were organised in one of the big book shops of Novosibirsk and in the Public Library.
On 15th of December with assistance of Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" needed books and atlases on the sum of 10 200 rubles were bought and delivered to the Rehabilitation Centre.
Now inmates of the Centre can use their own books and not to share one book with four children.
01.12.2009 - Trip to Barnaul.
A team of Rotarians from "Novosibirsk-Initiative" Rotary club including Michael Kunitsyn, Oksana Moiseeva and Nikolay Gurchinsky took part in charity party on raising money for one of the orphanages of Barnaul. The party was organised by two Rotary clubs - Barnaul Capital and Barnaul. Our delegates presented a mug with the views of Novosibirsk and raised about 5 000 rubles for the orphanage.
25.11.2009 - District 5010 Governor Bill Hopper visited Novosibirsk.
During his tour across Russian part of District 5010, Governor 2009-2010 Bill Hopper visited Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" meeting. He presented a Certificate on membership growth to our club. Governor also told us about John Kenny (RI president) goals for 2009-2010 as well as goals for District 5010.
21.11.2009 - Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" Birthday party.
Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" celebrated its 3rd Birthday on Saturday at Alpen Grotte club. Rotarians, their relatives and friends, Rotaractors as well as Rotarians from other cities - Omsk and Barnaul - visited this party. This night there were funny jokes, dances, auction, lottery and, of course, a lot of presents! All money raised during the party (more than 60 thousand rubles) will be spend on purchase of special equipment for ippotherapy for children with infantile cerebral paralysis.
31.10.2009 - A foreign guest visited Novosibirsk.
From 30th of September to 2nd of October Rotarians of Novosibirsk received doctor urologist/oncologist Kim Bauriedel (USA), Rotary club "Eureka". During his stay in Novosibirsk he had a meeting with Rotarians from "Novosibirsk-Centre" and "Novosibirsk-Initiative", visited opera "Carmen" in Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet House, gave a lecture to the urologists on the issue of "Modern methods of prostate cancer treatment", had a meeting with Novosibirsk Rotaractors, gave an interview to the "Expert of Siberia" magazine and also visited an Oncologic dispensary for children.
22.10.2009 - A new fellow in a Paul Harris Society.
There is one more Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative". Our congratulations to Michael Kunitsyn on his well-deserved reward! At this solemn event an honorary pin and a Certificate were presented to him.
22.10.2009 - Rehabilitation for a boy with infantile cerebral paralysis.
Money gained during charity campaign "I've done a good deed", as well as money received through PinPay system, was transferred to Vova Bobrovskiy' rehabilitation from infantile cerebral paralysis. On the 22nd of October the sum of 15500 rubles was given to the director of Center of New Medical Technologies, where the boy will undergo a course of medical treatment. This will be enough to cover a half of the treatment required. The money was transferred in presence of Olga Bobrovskaya - Vova's grandmother, who was deeply grateful to Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative".
24.09.2009 - A president for 2011-2012 was elected.
In the unpredictable competition between three candidates the winner was elected � Aleksey Shpikelman is 2011-2012 year president. Our sincere congratulations to the president-nominee!!!
12.09.2009 - Rotarians and Rotaractors from Omsk have paid reciprocal visit to Novosibirsk.
Representatives from Rotary and Rotaract clubs "Omsk-Dostoevsky" visited the capital of Siberia. Together with Rotarians and Rotaractors from "Novosibirsk-Initiative" clubs they participated in 3 km running heat for all comers during Siberian Running Festival. Besides, our guests from Omsk took part in "I�ve done a good deed" project. Our thanks to Omsk friends for their energy and support!
12.09.2009 - "I�ve done a good deed" project was implemented.
Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" with the help of Rotaract club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" carried out a charity campaign on selling ballons: everyone got an opportunity to buy a balloon with the print "I�ve done a good deed". All money raised during this project � 10 833 rubles, as well as money received through PinPay system, will be transferred to 9-year-old boy's � Vova Bobrovskiy � treatment for infantile cerebral paralysis.
21.08.2009 - Rotarians played host to teachers from Ubinskoe area.
Representatives from association of Geography teachers from Ubinskoe area visited Novosibirsk for the second time. Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" offered them tickets to the Botanical garden and to the Geological museum, which the teachers visited during their stay in Novosibirsk.
10.08.2009 - "Novosibirsk-Initiative" Rotary club helps a boy with infantile cerebral paralysis.
There is a new button on the PinPay terminals. Now everybody can help a little boy � Vova Bobrovskiy � to undergo a course of medical treatment for infantile cerebral paralysis. You can donate any sum of money to the "Novosibirsk-Initiative" Rotary club account and we will transfer this money to the boy�s treatment.
01.08.2009 - Rotarians from Novosibirsk joined their Omsk colleges.
Three representatives of "Novosibirsk-Initiative" Rotary club � Michael Kunitsyn, Alexander Molodin and Aleksey Sukhorukov � accompanied by five Rotaractors visited Omsk. They took part in "Siberian International Marathon � SIM 2009". Two of our Rotaractors - Dima Vilkov and Katya Chebykina � took part in running competition of 5 km together with representatives of "Omsk-Dostoevsky" Rotary club and "Sodruzhestvo volshebnikov" Rotaract club as well as inmates of special school for deaf-and-dumb children. After that there was a picnic organised, where disabled children received certificates, presents and sweets � chocolate candies "Novosibirskie".
10.07.2009 - There is one more Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative".
Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" on behalf of Alexander Molodin, club president 2007-2008, Assistant Governor, donated $1000 on PolioPlus program to eradicate Polio. Thus, Alexander Molodin became the second Paul Harris Fellow in our club. Our congratulations!
07.07.2009 - Rotaractors from Novosibirsk visited the 10th Anniversary Forum of Rotary Youth.
5 girls from Rotaract club �Novosibirsk-Initiative� visited Vladivostok from 3rd to 7th of July and took part in the 10th Anniversary Forum of Rotary Youth. The Forum gathered representatives of Rotaract clubs from 7 cities of Siberia and the Far East. In educational program of the Forum there were trainings and seminars on leadership, project management and PR, as well as many other interesting and useful things.
02.07.2009 - Congratulations on New Rotary Year!
On the 2nd of July the first in this Rotary year meeting of Rotary club �Novosibirsk-Initiative� with new club officers was held. The officers for the year 2009/2010 are the folowing: Peter Smirenko � club President, Michael Kunitsyn � Treasurer, Alexei Sukhorukov � Sergeant-at-arms, Olga Murzina � club Secretary, Anastasia Gurnovich � secretary executive. 15.06.2009 - Rotary Annual Conference of Russian part of District 5010 was held in Novosibirsk.
From June, 11 till June, 13, 2009 in the resort-hotel �Sosnovka�, near Novosibirsk, an annual Assembly and Conference took place. They were organised by Rotary club �Novosibirsk-Initiative�. More than 100 representatives of Rotary clubs from Russia and USA attended them. At the Conference the results of work in the previous year were summarized, and also plans for the next year were developed.
From June, 14 till June, 15, 2009, right after the Conference, a bilateral meeting of American and Russian Rotary clubs � ICC, devoted to the development of relations between the clubs of two countries, was held.
12.06.2009 - Rotaract club �Novosibirsk-Initiative� was officially registered with Rotary International.
On the 12th of June during Rotary District Conference District 5010 Governor Clyde Boyer together with the President of �Novosibirsk-Initiative� Rotary club Michael Kunitsyn presented a Certificate of Organisation to the Rotaractors of �Novosibirsk-Initiative� Rotaract club. This means that Rotaract club �Novosibirsk-Initiative� is officially registered with Rotary International. Our congratulations!
05.06.2009 - Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" took part in the project "Future is in your hands".

12.05.2009 - Rotary club �Novosibirsk-Initiative� send two girls to The Young Americans show.
On the 11th of May in the Circus the final performance of The Young Americans was held. It was organised with the help of Rotary club Novosibirsk. Rotary club �Novosibirsk-Initiative� helped two gifted girls from Novosibirsk (Tanya Skrjabina and Eugenia Bochkareva) to take part in a series of master-classes on dancing, singing and acting from the Young Americans. During these three days they have found new friends, found out new information about American culture and communicated a lot with young teachers from America.
11.05.2009 - Rotaractors from Omsk visited Novosibirsk.
Rotaract club �Novosibirsk-Initiative� received guests from Omsk Rotaract club � Tanya Skrjabina and Tanya Igumnova. Novosibirsk� Rotaractors organised a good cultural, entertaining and informational program for two girls, including Novosibirsk city-tour, trip to Akademgorodok, visit to Ob reservoir as well as to the city Zoo and roller-skating in Zaelcovsky Park. Apart from this, Rotaractors shared experience in Project organisation and implementation.
12.04.2009 - Rotarians from Novosibirsk took part in Presidents-elect training seminar � PETS.
Representatives of �Novosibirsk-Initiative� Rotary club (Alexander Molodin, Alexei Shpikelman and Anastasia Gurnovich) took part in PETS that was held in Tomsk from 10th to 12th of April. Tomsk gathered Rotarians from Novosibirsk, Omsk, Bijsk, Barnaul and of course Tomsk itself. The seminar was conducted by District 5010 Governor-elect Bill Hopper with the help of District Governor Clyde Boyer and District Governor-nominee Jane Little.
31.03.2009 - Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" took part in the project "Future is in your hands".
Project "Future is in your hands" is aimed at compiling the bank of data about the opportunities for youth, granted by government, commercial and non-for-profit organizations on a regular basis. Information about Rotary youth programs can be found in the special site sections:
Apart from that it is planned to publish a pilot version of the catalog of youth opportunities, where information about Rotary programs will also be displayed, in April.
29.03.2009 - Two girls-pianists took part in the festival "Friends' planet".
March 26-29, 2009 the second Rotarian charitable festival of children's creative work "Friends' planet" organised by Rotary club "Omsk Dostoevsky" was carried out. Club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" sent two girls-pianists with impaired vision to this festival. They presented Novosibirsk at this contest, had many positive emotions and found new friends. Our thanks to "Omsk Dostoevsky" club for the opportunity to unite disabled children and children with imparities via universal language of Art.
26.03.2009 - Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" unites pupils from two continents.
The project on exchange of letters between schoolchildren of Soldotna (Alaska, USA) and Novosibirsk (Russia) has recently been launched. Websites of two classes, where all the information about participants of the project, as well as their videoblogs and photos, is posted, have already been created. It is planned to begin letters exchange between Russian and American schoolchildren after the holidays. The project coordinator is the member of Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" Alexander Molodin.

20.03.2009 - A help to the mothers in need.
Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" together with public organisation "SibMama" and children's charity fund "Solar city" has carried out a charity action: Club has bought and gave to the tree mothers in need, who had left their children, but thanks to the children's fund took them back, 3 cots and 3 prams.
16.03.2009 - Muesli as a help to the large families.
Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" together with "Nestle" company carried a charity action - they distributed 100 boxes with 16 bundles ready-cooked breakfasts "Muesli". 40 boxes took physical faculty of Novosibirsk State Teachers Training University to organize breakfasts for sportsmen, 30 boxes went to society of invalids "Gran", 10 boxes received public organisation "SibMama" and Association of orphanage-leavers each, and 10 more boxes were distributed to large families of Moshkovo village.
