In June 2011 the club gave the money (18,500 rubles), collected during a charity Quiz. This money were spent for detailed examination of Tartynskogo Daniel (born 08/09/2008) in two clinics of St. Petersburg, corrective treatment for maintaining the shape of the face and eyes was ordered, three prosthesis for a growing child (one glass, the other two plastic) were made. The child is developed normally.

December, 8 the number of club members had increased. Now Svetlana Gladysheva and Vladimir Sokolov have the honorable title of Rotarian. Our Congratulations!

December 2 a charity screening of the film "Vysotsky. Thank you for living" was held in the cinema "Pobeda". The Rotary club and Peugeot were organizers of this event, which was tittled "Rotary and Peugeot for children".

Representatives of the Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" has repeatedly provided support the city of Novosibirsk. This time their efforts were directed to the construction of the "Rotary Park" for kids in Sosnovyi bor (Novosibirsk). The park will become unique combination of playground and a special complex for disabled children.

Before the film a charity evening at the CINEMA cafe was conducted. It gathered maecenases and people who are partial to the city problems. Guests spent time talking; they had an opportunity to take part in a charity auction (all lots had been created by the children). Also everyone could enjoy unique 3D cake containing a model of the future "Rotary Park". Moreover the "waiters" were as the guests and all "fees" and "tip" were directed to the project.

At 22.30 everybody went to a special screening of the film "Vysotsky. Thank you for living" in the Great Hall of the cinema "Pobeda". Before the beginning of the movie the President of Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" and the representative of the Peugeot thanked guests and announced that the total amount of funds raised to 302 155 rubles.

All funds raised will be used to build the Children's Park, which is scheduled for the summer and autumn of 2012.

In November, Rotary club Novosibirsk-Initiative paid for the treatment of children with visual impairment from Novosibirsk social organization of People with disabilities "The Integration Association". All funds were collected at the Charity Quiz, which took place in February.

November, 3-6 our club was visited by exchange students from USA, Brazil, Taiwan and Switzerland. Our club together with Rotaract club �Novosibirsk - Initiative� organized very interesting and informative program. Our guests had opportunity to see Novosibirsk, took part in the Rotaract project and to get close to the Russian culture.

Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" held a charity evening "Open Heart". All funds raised will be spent on construction of the playground "Rotary Park" in a Sosnovyj bor.

October 1 was a �harity lottery drawing. The main prize - a certificate on the iPhone 4S won Eugene with the lucky number 156026. Congratulations to the winner!

September 24 in Krasnoyarsk, was "The Battle for Good", which was attended by representatives of Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative". The most incredible tests expected the participants at twelve stages. The main objective of the project is the raising funds to build a playground for disable children.

September 22-23, six representatives of Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" took part in the District Strategy Session in Krasnoyarsk. Different issues related with effective operation of Russian part of the District.

Members of Rotary Club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" organized a touristic event for children from Moshkovsky special boarding school for orphan children. In addition the transfer of books which were collect by join efforts was timed to this event.

August 23, Seminar entitled "Design and Business Planning" was held in Novosibirs. Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation IFC was an organizer of this event. The main objective of the seminar - to offer some practical tools that could help find solutions for business development. All proceeds from the seminar will go to charity.

August 5-7, XII Siberian International Marathon was held in Omsk. Representatives from Rotary and Rotaract clubs "Novosibirsk-Initiative" took part at this event together with the Rotary and Rotaract clubs "Omsk-Dostoevsky" and inmates of special school for deaf children. Then there was organized a picnic, where everyone got a present for the competition. At the same time was a meeting of the Governor District 5010 Ted Trueblood with Rotarians.

Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" congratulates everybody on New Rotary Year! In 2011-2012 officers of Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" are: President Alexey Shpikelman, President-Elect Victor Kazakov, Immediate-President Oksana Moiseeva, Secretary Olga Murzina, Treasurer Michael Kunitsyn.

Rotary and Rotaract clubs "Novosibirsk-Initiative" had taken part in a city show of public organizations within which clubs carried out the annual action "I�ve done a good deed". This year fund raising had been directed to helping Sofia Stanozhenko, she is a little girl, but already has a number of serious diseases, including cerebral paralysis, atrophic hydrocephalus, and epilepsy in remission. As a result of the action Rrotary and Rrotaract clubs collected 31229 rubles. Thanks everybody who had responded this opportunity to help the girl and had approached the dream of Taisiya, Sofia�s mother, that her daughter could recover.

Michael Kunitsyn visited Rotary Conference in Homer where speakers shared the new information about Rotary programs etc. Also on last day of the Conference there was voting on separating district into two parts, and 40 electors from Rotary clubs (against 28) voted for revision of process of separating the district. It is the beginning of new process of negotiations and accepting of the real decisions.

Rotary International Director Ken Grabeu arrived to Novosibirsk during his Siberia trip after District Conference in Irkutsk. Ken met with Rotary clubs "Novosibirsk", "Novosibirsk-Initiative" and �Novosibirsk-Center�, and with Rotaract club "Novosibirsk-Initiative". This meeting helped a lot to get better understanding of Rotary service ideals and core values worldwide.

Three representatives of Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" visited Rotary District Conference which was held in Irkutsk. Speakers told about current district situation and actual problems, including future separation of the Russian part of the District from Alaska.

Mi�haela Steinhauer, the German jazz singer, had come to Novosibirsk. She did a master class for youth of a city and for children from needy families. The project had been performed at the expense of the Consulate of Germany in Novosibirsk and two Rotary clubs: "Novosibirsk" and "Novosibirsk-Initiative". The master class gave the chance to young men from 14 years to plunge into a jazz vocal, to improve their performing skills, to receive unique creative experience, and also to act together with the master on a scene.

Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" made the decision to help in treatment for Sonya Stanozhenko. The sum of 35 000 rubles was transferred to the account of the New Medical Technologies Center where the girl has been receiving medical treatment. Sonya has a number of serious diseases, including cerebral paralysis, atrophic hydrocephalus, and epilepsy in remission. At regular treatment the child has chances to lead healthy life.

Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" led by current club president Oksana Moiseeva appeared as organizer of PETS that took place on 1-2 of April 2011 at Hotel Doubletree by Hilton. President-Elect training seminar was conducted by Ted Trueblood District 5010 Governor for the year 2011-2012 with the support of current District Governor Jane Little and Governor-nominee Andrei Konushok. The program developed by D5010 Trainer Maria Netaeva and presented by D5010 leaders in Russia provided 38 participants with valuable information and assist leaders in making rotary clubs very successful during the 2011-12 Rotary year.

On the 28-30 of March 2011 a SERVE conference took place in Novosibirsk. It was devoted to the leadership and business development issues. Representatives of Chick-fil-A company shared their experience in fast food restaurant business with the youth of Novosibirsk as well as with the entrepreneurs. Rotary club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" was one of the main organizers of the event. This year Serve Conference lasted for 3 days that let participants to study important business aspects in depth.

There was held IV Rotary Charity Festival of Children's and Youth Creativity "Planet of Friends" in Omsk on 25-26 of March. It was attended by over 300 participants from children's homes, correctional schools and social rehabilitation centers of Omsk, Omsk region, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and Barnaul. Rotary Club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" was sent several participants to the festival - Artem Chainikov, Misha Prisyazhnikov and Vanya Sartakov from the Orphanage �4; Julia and Sovtsova and Yakimuk Elizaveta were from boarding school �37 for the deaf children with signer Svetlana Elfimova. Novosibirsk also was represented by rotaractors from RAC "Novosibirsk-Initiative".

There was held the presentation of Rotaract Club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" in the Regional Adolescent Library on 20.03.2011, where everyone interested in event had been invited if they are in age gap from 18 to 30 years old. Presentation started with a short introduction to the theme and acquaintances. Then guests learned about Rotaract, which project activities can be done if you are member of Rotaract club.

Rotaract Club of Novosibirsk-Initiative with the support of Rotary Clubs "Novosibirsk-Initiative" and "Novosibirsk" realized district project in Orphanage �4 on 12.03.2011. The concert was participated by children from the Orphanage �4, by the children from the Ob Orphanage, by the girls from a boarding school �37 for the deaf children, as well by the School of Oriental Dance "Marjanah". After the concert, children had opportunity to communicate with guests during the tea party, sponsored by the company "Este". This Concert helped children to demonstrate their artistic success and has been a preparatory step for a trip to Festival called "The Planet of Friends" in Omsk.

Rotary Club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" continues the project "I�ve done a Good Deed". The club has already collected 17 480.00 rubles during the period from 11/17/2010 to 02/28/2011. The club gave money to parents of Leva Yashnov. The whole cost of rehabilitation is 52,500 rubles.

First Siberian Assembly of Rotary Clubs of District 5010 was held on 22-25 of February at the ski resort Sheregesh in Kemerovo region. There were delegations arrived there the Rotary Clubs of Omsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kemerovo, Barnaul. Totally over 60 people have escaped from the usual bustle of the cities for some days! The main event, of course, was the banquet on February 23, dedicated to 106th anniversary of Rotary International.

Rotary Club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" and Cabaret Cafe "Stray Dog" have implemented a joint action "Open Heart" on the 09.02.2011 at the Cafe "Stray Dog". Event was done in the form of QUIZ, entertainment and informative game, and all collected funds will be used for coming surgical treatment of 3-years-old Tartynskiy Daniel. The boy had birthday this day. Rotary Club had 3 teams participated, one of which was called "Rotary" took second place.

Eight representatives of the Rotaract Club "Novosibirsk-Initiative" participated in a "RYLA-2011" in Omsk, the first District 5010 RYLA. In RYLA Agenda there were several training sessions, including not only the familiar teambuilding, emancipation and the art of communication, but also specific programs, such as the philosophy of the body and the philosophy of good deed. Rotary and Rotaract clubs "Omsk-Dostoevsky" realized RYLA at the very high level. Hopefully it will be the good Rotarian tradition of District 5010.
